Black Backgrounds
Available as horse only or horse & rider
Braiding/banding HIGHLY recommended

Black backgrounds are a great way to capture your horse's unique look and personality. These sessions create photos that last a lifetime and make wonderful pieces of art for your home. I provide several poses to capture all aspects of your horse and are great for all types of horses, sale horses, studs, and more. Photos are preferably shot in a bridle or show halter for young horses. Braiding/banding is highly encouraged.

*Black backgrounds require a barn isle or indoor area

Horse & Rider Portraits
Outdoor golden hour session

On ground or riding photos welcome

Horse and rider sessions are a perfect way to capture the bond between horse and rider. No matter what age, discipline, or breed, tailoring these sessions specifically to the individual is my goal. I usually recommend a choice between casual or riding attire for your session.

Great for creating memories of that special horse in your life, graduation photos, family photos, and more. Can be done at your home barn, a show, or at an outside location (i.e. a beach).

Available for black backgrounds or outdoor golden hour session.

Unicorn Session
Available as horse & rider or horse only

Get the magical look with a unicorn session. What little girl hasn't dreamed of befriending a unicorn? Now you can! Perfect for all types of horses and riders of any age. Flowing dresses are highly recommended to get the right look. I provide a selection of flower wreaths, flower crowns, and a golden unicorn horn. Golden hour is a must for this session so either early morning or early evening for the best results - weather permitting.

*Horn is sized for ponies and horses. It is a bit too large for minis but I can provide a different smaller horn upon request.

Artsy Session
Gold/Silver/Rose Gold Foil or Color Powder

Artsy sessions provide a great way to capture the fine details of your horse while creating great art pieces for your home. I offer a selection of colors of foil and powder for your use although you may only choose foil OR powder for your session. The focus for these photos is on detail and head shots. Photos preferred to be shot in a thin rope halter so they can be edited out. I can provide the rope halter upon request.

Foil works best on sleek, short haired/clipped, solid color horses but can be done on any.

- Foil sessions may only choose one color.

- Powder you may choose up to three.

(Pink, purple, red, blue, yellow, orange - other colors available for extra fee)

Additional colored light is available for use as well

(Gold and rose gold foil featured here)

Christmas sessions are a great way to spread holiday cheer on social media, greeting cards, and gifts. I provide a selection of 4 Christmas neck wreaths and I try to add at least one new one every year. You may select one wreath per horse for your session. Great for just the horse, horse and rider, or the whole family! Available in black background or outdoor sessions.

**Please book at least 2 to 3 weeks before Christmas for on-time delivery. November or before is most recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions...

What should I do to prepare?

To keep things as simple as possible, once you have booked your session, I will email you my "How to Prepare/What to Expect" Guide. It will outline everything I recommend to do before a session for your horse, tack, outfit, and more. The level of preparedness is up to you, but I always encourage to go the extra mile. It really shows in the final photos.

If you have any specific questions not covered in the PDF or before you book, just let me know!

Travel fees and booking outside of NE Florida?

For sessions outside of the Jacksonville area, I charge a travel fee per mile. For day trips, my usual range is within 1.5 hours of Jacksonville, FL. If you live outside of this range, I can usually arrange a trip to your area but my availability is much more limited and I require at least 2 sessions booked in that area in the same day. When two or more people are booked outside my normal range, I will split the travel fee evenly among them. I will also sometimes offer certain locations for sessions depending on my travel schedule. Please contact me if you want to submit a travel request.

What kind of items/props do you offer for sessions?

I understand not everyone has photo ready tack or supplies so I have built a small closet of tack and props for you to use for your session. I provide a select amount of show halters (westner/english), photo ready bridles, clean and colorful saddle and show pads, flower wreaths, Christmas wreaths, color powder, gold foil, and more.

Can I post my images on social media?

Yes of course! I highly encourage you to do so! In my current galleries, I provide files for social media posting which contain my logo. Please do not crop or add filters when posting. Credit is encouraged but not mandatory. If posting, please tag @seeing.spots.photography on Instagram or Seeing Spots Photography FL on Facebook.

How do I pay for my session?

I currently accept cash, credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo. For sessions outside of the Jacksonville area, I require a deposit to secure your date. Full payment is due by the time I am done taking photos. You will not receive your gallery until payment has been received.

You may purchase additional photos  from your session online once you've received your proof gallery.

How will I receive my images?

I include digital delivery in all portrait sessions. I will email you a link to my PixieSet website where you can view, select your favorites, download, and purchase prints of your photos. I usually ask for at least 2-3 weeks for delivery of your edited photos. Additional images are available for purchase online after your receive your proof gallery.

What kind of location and time should I  book?

The background for outdoor sessions is very important. I prefer to shoot in front of lots foliage like in a field or pasture or near the barn for a different look. For black backgrounds, I must shoot in a covered barn isle, arena, or shed for appropriate lighting.

I prefer to shoot in the early morning or in the evening. Lighting is extremely important so I try to shoot at the best lighting times (sunrise and early sunset). These times only last about an hour so I can only do one at each time a day. Mid day light is too harsh for photos so I try to avoid mid day times.

Can I print my images?

Absolutely! Although printing is only allowed through my online store or through direct order by me. I highly recommend that you do print so you can enjoy your photos all year round and not just on your phone. You can order through my online store which is attached to your gallery link. This is to ensure the best quality and formatting. If you would like a product not listed in my store such as blankets, mugs, and other home goods, just ask! I work with several printing labs to provide the best quality products directly to your door. Let me help you design the perfect piece of art for your space!
