Hey There

I've grown up around horses and have had the chance to own, ride, and show horses for over 20 years. I grew up in the hunter/jumper arena but I've dabbled in a little bit of each discipline over the years. At the age of 8, I was blessed enough to be able to receive my first horse. An appaloosa mare named Dasha who has earned her place as not only my heart horse, but my mascot and logo. 

 

I started my photography journey with just a cheap point and shoot camera with only my own horses and some of my friend's horses as my models. Something about the two really made my heart sing and find fulfillment but never dreamed it would lead to a career merging my two passions. Being able to not only capture my own memories, but the memories of others was something that made me feel truly fulfilled. Starting out just capturing photos from horse camps and eventually taking photos at shows of my friends and making new connections helped me realize that this passion was a real possibility as a career for me.

In addition to growing up as an equestrian, I am also a very passionate artist which lead to me attending the Savannah College of Art and Design where I received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. Although my major was not photography related, the skills I learned while at SCAD help me to be a well rounded creative. I am mostly self taught when it comes to cameras and photography but after several years of experience and learning, I am proud to call myself a professional.

After owning my own horses for most of my life, the one thing I cherish is having those photos and memories of each even or milestone or moment with my horses and I seek to do the same for others. I know how much photos hold those warm memories and I wish I still had piles and piles of photos of all of my adventures before I found photography. I'm excited to be able to capture those memories for you at every stage and the bond you have with your equine partners to be cherished forever.
